Eiiwa

Explore the world through your senses

2017

Eiiwa is the result of the design course during the WS 2016/17 at the State Academy of Fine Arts, Stuttgart. The aim of this course was to develop a conceptual design for a possible future scenario in 2046, based on premises about the development of society in the past years, and how it could continue to evolve.

Eiiwa is a personal educator for children. It is a valuable tool in a future where schools no longer exist the way we know them today and education is the result of real-world explorations.

Eiiwa is a lens through which students can observe the world, understand it, and learn things that are not possible simply by looking at them. It encourages students to explore the environment through their senses.

It adapts to each student's capacities and interests. Eiiwa works with an educational software that filters the type of information that students can search, depending on their ability to understand it.

Eiiwa works within a network of physical spaces, which serve as Knowledge Points. Here, students can meet and reveal “secret information”. The Knowledge Points are spaces related to the learning process, they can be found at libraries, book stores, playgrounds, and other public spaces.

Students can go there to learn about specific topics and are encouraged to upload and share information about their discoveries.
